Should we be using his Name?.... What's the Bible say?
Well this is a subject that i have wrestled with since coming to the truth of YaHUaH's Word. "Should we say his name?.. we know the Jewish People Say "Hashem" in regards of not blaspheming his name or diminishing it to a lesser meaning. which might i add is a breaking of the fourth commandment. (Exo 20:7 “You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.) So let's look at the Hebrew word for (Naught) (*Note*) Some translations say (Vain) Hebrew Word Used here is (לשׁוא׃ H7723). now let me explain this how i understand this word to be, the (Lamed) is a prefix (for) then the root word (Shin,Uau,Aleph-שוא) (Aleph) being "Silent" So you have Shu/Shuv. Remember when reading Hebrew you read from right to left.... Hebrew is the pure Qodesh/Set Apart Tongue of the father and was the very first tongue spoken. all other language's came from the Paleo Hebrew (Phoenician) will post a chart below.
Ok so looking at the word (Lamed, Shin, Uau, Aleph)-לשוא-Le-shu =( you have the (ל)-for/to as the prefix) and then the root word (שוא) meaning (Falsehood, Nothingness, Worthlessness.)
You do not bring the name of YaHUaH to falsehood, nothingness, and Worthlessness. So i ask you?, when talking about the father and putting a different meaning such as Hashem, Lord, God, Ect. Do you think this is bringing his name to nothingness, worthlessness?.. his Name is the name above all names and it should be treated as such!
So Now lets take a minute and
Turn with me if you will to Exodus Chapter 3 Verse 14... yep that very famous verse we hear all the time from Xtians, and Messianic's when they try to often prove their Heresy. so let's look at this verse. ( Exo 3:14 And Elohim said to Mosheh, “I am that which I am.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra’ěl, ‘I am has sent me to you.) Ok so i mean we could go way deeper in study here especially with going back to the Hebrew. And then their is always going further and taking it back to the Paleo Hebrew... but let's just stick with simple English for now. we see here that YaHUaH tells Moses when Moses asks YaHUaH in verse 13 - Exo 3:13 And Mosheh said to Elohim, “See, when I come to the children of Yisra’ěl and say to them, ‘The Elohim of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His Name?’ what shall I say to them?” And now pay very close attention here... YaHUaH then tells Moses verse 14 - Exo 3:14 And Elohim said to Mosheh, “I am that which I am.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra’ěl, ‘I am has sent me to you... now read just one more verse.. (Keep Reading) :).. verse 15 says. ( Exo 3:15 > And Elohim said further to Mosheh,< “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ěl, >‘יהוה Elohim of your fathers,< the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ, has sent me to you. > This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’ <) So you see he (Says FURTHER) to Moses. (יהוה = YaHUaH Elohim/God of your fathers) right there he tells Moses to tell the children his name and thus ending the verse with (This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.!).. Ok so now before we move on Moses tells the Israelites that YaHUaH is his name and it's for all Generations.. (INCLUDING OURS ;) )So let's look at the first time his name was called on let's go to Genesis 4:26 Ok so we see here where after Qain killed Able Adam and Havah/Eve had another Child (Sheth/seth) and to Seth was born (Enosh) and so as we read Genesis Chapter 4 at the very last part it says what? Gen 4:26 And to Shěth, to him also a son was born. And he called his name Enosh. > Then it was begun to call on the Name of יהוה.<! So we see ever since the time of Adam and Havah/Eve The name of YaHUaH Then started to be Called on! meaning they(Adam & Havah/Eve (His Children) and Adam & Havah/Eve's Children. And so on and so forth. Scripture verifies this let's go to Genesis 22:14 here we see Abraham named a Mountain after YaHUaH Gen 22:14 And Aḇraham called the name of the place,> ‘יהוהYireh,’< > as it is said to this day,< “On the mountain יהוה provides.” Ok now so i am sure Abraham wasn't the only one traveling this mountain? Which means many (All) that came through that way up, over, around His People or pagan Heathens Believers and Non Believers alike saw this and knew this mountain which means they knew his name. let's go on and see what scripture says. Next we have Exodus 3:14-16 which we covered in the beginning. So let's go a little further into Exodus to Chapter 17 Verse 15 Here we see Moshe/Moses set up a alter to YaHUaH And named it ( יהוה נסי ) = YaHUaH Nissi = (Is My banner.)
Ok and now we can Go to the very next Chapter Exodus Chapter 18 Verse 1 here we see Moshe/Moses Talking to Marium's Father Yithro, Moshe's (Father In Law)
Exo 18:8 And Mosheh told his father-in-law all that יהוה had done to Pharaoh and to the Mitsrites for Yisra’ěl’s sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how יהוה had delivered them.
Let's take a closer look here,
So we see that moshe was (Telling, Speaking,) to Yithro a (Pagan Heathen) who his own people turned against for seeing YaHUaH was greater then all the other gods, how do we know this?... well let's look at Scripture...
Exo 18:10 And Yithro said, “Blessed be יהוה, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Mitsrites and out of the hand of Pharaoh, and who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Mitsrites.
Exo 18:11 > “Now I know that יהוה is greater than all the mighty ones,< indeed in the matter in which they acted proudly, above them.”
Now it is going around and it is especially hard for (New Believers) those coming out of religion to find the truth because they often listen to man instead of relying solely on YaHUaH for answers and then they often get lost in what the rabbi's are saying thinking we shouldn't speak the name or tell it to those that are uneducated in the truth of the fathers word. thus they use a lesser meaning or a substitute for his name, That being said let's take a look here a minute before continuing on here
let's go to the Commandments the fourth one to be exact. from here it is two chapters over seeing's how we are already in Exodus chapter 18 flip with me here to chapter 20 Verse 7
Exo 20:7 (“You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.) Ok so now it might just be me. but correct me if i am wrong but i see this as his name being the Name above (All) Names. And in (Replacing his name with a lesser meaning/Value We are bringing his name to a lesser standard/Value and bringing it to a lesser standard/Value is making his name Slowly a nothingness?.. and now researching this subject for a few years is what inspired me to write this Blog. So should we be telling those not Set Apart./Qodesh His Name? I believe we should and as we go on i believe Scripture (The Fathers Word) will verify that we should. i mean when you think about it did you not hear his name while still in Religion?.. prompting you to dig deeper? a un controlling urge to find the fathers truth after realizing we have been lied to all these years. i know for me it was HIS NAME that started me on this journey and yes i was at that time a bible thumping Christian believing that this man god could die for my sins.... boy was i indoctrinated.. but that's how some start. i mean really if i had not herd his name i would probly still be a blind Christian following mans word (Thank You Father for awaking me to the truth of your word :)
Now i don't rely on all the things rabbi's say but as i tell many people (Listen/Shama/Hear) what they have to say write down notes (Because they know their history (the history that has been kept from us) the true history) and even though i don't take to much validity to their extra reading materials like the (Talmud, Mishna, Zohar, Kabalah) ect. It's always good to get both sides of the story and beings we wher indoctrinated with Pagan church lies, And that Almost all of us know very little about the Jewish People (Only what the church tells us) they are blind, they have been dis owned by YaHUaH, Ect. well again yes that was a lie... how can we tell?..read the fathers word... he tells us in the end times Zec 8:23 “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yes,> they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yehuḏi, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you< so if ten men from all tounges grabs the garment of a jew and says this.... Do you really think that YaHUaH Has dis owned them or that they are blind?.. this is what started me on asking the Question (Why do the Jewish people believe in only YaHUaH? No Messiah! Why?... well through time and prayer and much studying the father has shown me and i only hope that through his will he will show you also. But it also takes much on your part to to make time to study and pray and your whole heart and mind and soul HAS to be in it.
Deu 4:29 “But from there you shall seek יהוה your Elohim, and shall find, when you search for Him with all your heart and with all your being.
Jer 29:13 And you shall seek Me, and shall find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Joe 2:12 “Yet even now,” declares יהוה, “turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.
Ok so sorry i got a little side tracked there (Oh look something shiny) :) lol
so seeing's how Yithro was knowledgeable about every pagan religion and has sampled every form of religion in the world. Moses still talked to him and Spoke his name loudly to him (take note he didn't become a convert till after he was told and seen what YaHUaH did for the Israelites. which means he was not Qodesh before hearing the fathers name.
(Link to page) of above information(Devar Torah) if interested in reading.
after speaking with Moses/Moshe the article reads( Accordingly, he now stood ready to join Israel, to be naturalized, as it were, in the Malchuth Shamayim (“Kingdom of Heaven”). after he herd what moses had told him about what YaHUaH had done for the israelites.
Ok so now let's move on let's look at Joshua (I like the book of Yehoshua/Joshua) one of my favorite :) So as we read in the book of Yehoshua/Joshua at chapter 8 we see the Gibeonite Deception. and here we have in verse 3-5
Jos 9:3 And the inhabitants of Giḇ‛on heard what Yehoshua had done to Yeriḥo and Ai,
Jos 9:4 > and they acted slyly and went and pretended to be envoys<. And they took old sacks on their donkeys, old wineskins torn and mended,
Jos 9:5 and old and patched sandals on their feet, and old garments on themselves. And all the bread of their provision was dry, it was crumbs.
Ok so they herd what Yehoshua did to Yeriho and Ai following the directions of YaHUaH. And so they proceeded to deceive Yehoshua and the Israelites and tells them
Jos 9:9 So they said to him, “From a> land very far off <your servants have come, >because of the Name of יהוה your Elohim<. For we have heard the report of Him, and all that He did in Mitsrayim,
So now we have here them telling Yehoshua that they herd what "YaHUaH" Did and that they wher from a very far land aways off. so this means his name was being used and many People very very far away their was a chance they would and could hear the name of YaHUaH..... So i ask should we be speaking his name to non believers? and not just to those that know him? yes we are to hold his name very high and we are never to dis respect it . lets go on
So we see that after they lied to Yehoshua they in fact didn't live very far away but wher in fact neighbours.
Jos 9:16 And it came to be at the end of three days, after they had made a covenant with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours who dwelt near them.
The point i am getting at here is that even back then we see it was possible that YaHUaH's Name was able to travel far and wide to many people believers or not. And again we see this very point right here in verse 9
Jos 9:9 So they said to him, “From a land very far off your servants have come, because of the Name of יהוה your Elohim. For we have heard the report of Him, and all that He did in Mitsrayim
Ok so let's go further, more whiteness please father.
well if we go back a few we mentioned that Moshe/Moses built an alter and named it (YaHUaH Nissi -YaHUaH is my banner)... well we can see here also in Judges that Gibeon after seeing a messenger of YaHUaH And Speaking to the messenger that he like Moshe/Moses Had built an alter on the mountain (That is there to this day) after YaHUaH Tza'buoath Elohim of Yishra'el. I mean their is plenty of archeological proof that his name was out there for all to see and when the Jewish people started to get killed for using the name they (Replaced) it with a title or ( a lesser value(way lesser),
What's the Fourth Commandment? Exo 20:7 “You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. (Bring it to nothingness!....Replacing it would not it be considered a step towards nothingness? i mean seriously they tell you Oh just call him God or Elohim. well God and Elohim first isn't his name and second their are many gods/mighty ones/Judges?..... So what now? which one might you be referring to? see how replacing or lessening his name you have now put him in the category of the lesser gods and goddesses. bringing his name to nothingness :O And i' m Sorry but telling a non believer or a heathen his name and giving them the opportunity to degrade it does not come back on you Scripture says what?
Deu 24:16 “Fathers are not put to death for their children, and children are not put to death for their fathers,> each is to die for his own sin.<
ok so now let's look at David and the book of Psalms go with me if you will to Chapter 60 Verse 4
Psa 60:4 You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it might be lifted up Because of the truth. Selah.
Ok so now let's just take a minute here remember closer to the beginning of this blog i mentioned how Moshe/Moses set up an alter to YaHUaH and called it YHUH Nissi = (YaHUaH is my banner) and psalms say what? You have Given A banner >To those that fear you<. Ok so now what do you suppose that banner is?......... (His Name) :)
And so see while we speak his name every day in all that we do we praise him, in normal conversation we praise him, when going to get gas upon leaving praise him everything went smoothly.... see my point in the mist of praising him and informing others of him and restoring his name (Which i have taken that on to be my mission) to restore his name and to make his name known and in doing that not everyone will want to hear it. some will get angry, some will just ignore you and some will stop and listen, while others something might click (Just as it did for you and i ) and i believe this to be true because scripture states Psa 60:4 You have given a banner> to those who fear You,< That it might be lifted up Because of the truth. Selah. .... to those that fear him! we know not everyone is going to fear him. or at least not till they are in front of him that is. so is saying his name and using it daily in everything we do only those truly seeking the truth =(Torah) will hear it and fear him so you see this banner that he has given us is his Name and those that fear him lift it up because of the truth/Torah. and we know that when that say " lifted up in truth" that truth is the Torah here is Scripture Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is righteousness forever, And Your >Torah is truth.< And so their is much more Scripture in Tanach showing us we should be using his name and singing to it, praising it, meditating on it, seeking shelter in it, calling on it, ..... So since this is a blog and not a book we will stop here as i said i could go on but now my brothers and sisters, friends, and those i never met reading this (Now Go, Research and spend some time with YaHUaH) And remember to praise him in everything you do. May YaHUaH bless you all thank you for taking the time to read this hope you enjoyed Shalom.
